For over 30 years, Bill Spencer
has been involved in the political and communications
arena. Bill began his career as Assistant California
Press Director for Ronald Reagan and held senior level
positions on Presidential, U.S. Senate and Gubernatorial
campaigns.
Named one of Washington's top lobbyists by The
Hill, Bill Spencer is known as a tenacious and
effective advocate on many issues at the local, state,
and national levels. Bill has a solid reputation
on Capitol Hill, with federal agencies and in the
political arena as an aggressive leader and innovative
strategist in addressing public policy issues, political
campaigns and the legislative process.
Through Bill’s leadership many organizations and companies
credit Bill’s creativity and acumen for their development.
Bill has been a guest on TV and radio shows as well
as a speaker to thousands of business leaders throughout
the country on issues important to their bottom line.
He also founded and chaired, as well as served on
the management committees of a number of major national
political and business coalitions.
Bill was the vice president of government affairs
at Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). With
almost 25,000 members, ABC is one of the leading national
organizations representing America's business community
and the U.S. construction industry. At ABC, Bill
led a team of 23 professionals, in a political campaign
atmosphere, in federal, state and local government
activities: political action and issue advocacy; legislative;
grassroots; and legal and regulatory.
Bill worked for the Secretary of Commerce in the Reagan
administration and for a California Senate leader
in Sacramento. A graduate of the University of Southern
California with a degree in International Relations,
he received his Juris Doctor from the University of
the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law and is a Rapport
Leadership International Master Graduate.
